How did you choose your mentor?</P> <P>i had a mentor when i first came into this lifestyle 10 years ago and the mentor was chosen for me by my Dominant at the time. </P> <P>2. Did you make a formal request for a mentor, or did you just become friends with another submissive and follow her example?</P> <P>There was a formal request made, however over the years we did become very good friends and still are to this day.</P> <P>3. What did your mentoring entail?</P> <P>Mentoring for me was more so of a peer guidance. She taught me the things she knew such as the japanese tea ritual, pain tolerance techniques, lots of writting assigments and any questions i had she would either answer them for me or point in the direction to find the answer myself.</P> <P>4. What did you wish to gain from a mentorship?</P> <P>i gained knowledge and experience.plus a life long friend</P> <P>5. Did/does your mentor have a Dominant?</P> <P>she did not at the time....she does now....</P> <P>6. If, so, was/is their Dominant also involved in your mentoring as well? In what capacity?</P> <P><BR>No other Dominant other than my own was involved. However some Dominants do allow Dominants to be involved in the mentor process to fill various duties.<BR>7. Did you find your mentorship beneficial? In what way?</P> <P>Mentoring is a very beneficial experience is the submissive is paired correctly. The purpose of the mentor is to guide the submissive not dominate. The mentee does not answer to the mentor and the mentor does not punish or put demands on the submissive as a dominant would.</P> <P>8. Would you recommend mentorship for a new submissive? Why or why not?</P> <P>i would recommend it. i am currently mentoring a submissive and through our mentor/mentee we have learned from each other and it has been a very positive experience.</P> <P>9. Would you recommend a new submissive be mentored by a Dominant instead of a fellow submissive? Why or why not?</P> <P>I do not think that Dominants should mentor submissives because that dynamic in its self creates a bond and leaves the new submissive dependent on a Dominant, the roles often times become confused and causes problems.</P> <P>10.
